The release of the Western thriller The Thicket has received a significant update. The movie, which stars Peter Dinklage and Juliette Lewis in the lead roles, has been announced by Tubi Films as having a release date. The film will make a big appearance in France during the 50th Deauville American Film Celebration in the seven day stretch of September 8. The film’s international appeal and festival appearance demonstrate its appeal to a wider audience.

On September 6, 2024, a limited edition of The Thicket will be released. After a violent killer kidnaps his sister, a young man sets out to find and save her. He enrolls the assistance of a shrewd abundance atracker named Shorty, a grave-digging alcoholic child of an ex-slave and a road savvy whore to help him on his central goal.
Plot & Characters
The novel by Joe Lansdale was adapted into The Thicket. Peter Dinklage plays bounty hunter Reginald Jones in the movie. Jones is hired by a man who is desperate to find Cutthroat Bill, a killer played by Juliette Lewis. In order to assist him, Jones gathers a team that includes a former slave who digs graves and a hireable street smart woman. They enter The Thicket, a dangerous region, on their way there.

The protagonist, Jack, is a young man who is looking for his sister, who has been kidnapped. Lula is the victim of Cut Throat Bill’s vicious killer gang. Jack enlists the assistance of Reginald Jones, a well-known bounty hunter who is also an alcoholic, in order to locate Lula and save her.
