Honda CB1000R Bike 2024 Launch Date, Features & Specification

A 999cc, liquid-cooled, inline four-pot motor with a six-speed gearbox capable of producing 143 bhp and 104 nm powers the previous CB1000R model. The BS6 model will use the same mill, but it will be modified to produce cleaner emissions, which may result in a small change in power output. Ride-by-wire, traction control, ABS, and four riding modes were additional features.

Honda CB1000R Bike

The motorcycle’s previous BS4 model featured numerous modern features, including a quirky full-color TFT instrument console display. Showa’s monoshock unit for the rear and fully-adjustable inverted forks for the front may also be included in the hardware. The front brakes are provided by twin 310mm discs and a single 256mm disc at the rear.

Launch Date & Price

The Honda CB1000R is expected to launch in India in July 2024 for between 15,00,000 and 16,00,000 INR.

Honda CB1000R Features

The Honda CB1000R is a naked street bike in the litre class that replaces the CB1000R Hornet, which was previously sold in the country. Engine

The Euro 5/BS6-compliant 998cc inline four-cylinder engine that powers the CB1000R produces the same amount of power and torque as before, 145.48 PS at 10500rpm and 104Nm at 8250rpm. The six-speed transmission is still in use. However, the Black Edition benefits from the standard quickshifter that works in both directions. Rain, Standard, Sport, and User are the four ride modes offered by electronic nannies. There are also three levels of Engine Power (P), Engine Brake (EB), and Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), each of which can be switched off.

Suspension

The hardware is still the same as before. The Showa SFF-BP inverted forks and the fully adjustable Showa BRFC (Balance Free Rear Cushion) monoshock perform the duties of suspension. Twin 310-millimeter front discs with radial callipers and a 256-millimeter rear disc serve as the bike’s foundation. The arrival of the brand-new CB1000R in India has not been made abundantly clear by Honda.

Design

Showa’s monoshock unit for the rear and fully-adjustable inverted forks for the front may also be included in the hardware. The front brakes are provided by twin 310mm discs and a single 256mm disc at the rear. It boasts Honda’s new “Neo Sports Café” design language, which was first demonstrated as a concept at the Tokyo Motor Show. The motorcycle’s design is the most impressive feature.

Torque

You can find a retuned heart by going beneath the motorcycle’s surface and into its brain. The CB1000R only has 143 horsepower and 77 pound-feet of torque, whereas the CBR1000R has 189 horsepower and 84 pound-feet of torque. The updated torque map is where my issue with this motorcycle lies, but Honda changed the torque maps so that power comes in lower in the motorcycle’s rev range.

Final Words

A perfect test for this is when it elicits impromptu comments about its appearance from the most poker-faced of onlookers. It must have an attitude and ooze raw excitement. Even though it moves fairly quickly, the CB1000R accomplishes all of that, and comments continue to pour in. The “crouching cat” stance, the brilliantly efficient triangular headlamp with its underslung circular LED cluster, the massive one-sided swingarm, the “sweeping” spoked die-cast wheels, and the unusually low stance are all features of this vehicle.
