The film from Oscar nominee Sean Wang had its world premiere in 2024 at the Sundance Film Festival, where it won both the U.S. Sensational Crowd Grant and the U.S. Emotional Unique Jury Grant for Best Outfit Cast. The film, which follows a Taiwanese-American 13-year-old in the final month of summer 2008 before high school starts, was inspired by Wang’s youth.
