About General Achievement Test
The National Testing Agency (NTA) was established as an independent, autonomous, and self-sustained premier testing organization by the Ministry of Education (MoE) of the Government of India (GOI) under the Societies Registration Act (1860). Its mission is to administer tests that are effective, transparent, and conform to international standards in order to determine whether or not candidates are competent enough to be admitted to premier higher education institutions. The Graduate Aptitude Test – Biotechnology (GAT-B) 2024 and the Biotechnology Eligibility Test (BET) 2024 have been assigned to the National Testing Agency (NTA) by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India’s Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB).
GAT B Admit Card Notification

On April 13, the city intimation slip for the GAT-B 2024 exam will be available. GAT-B/BET 2024 Admit Card Release Date
The NTA intends to issue the admit card for the Graduate Aptitude Test – Biotechnology / Biotechnology Eligibility Test 2024 three days before the exam. GAT-B Eligibility Criteria
Before filling out the online application, candidates who have registered for the GAT-B 2024 exam are required to review the eligibility requirements. The GAT-B entrance test is not open to candidates who do not meet the requirements. Candidates who meet the GAT-B eligibility requirements must be at least 18 years old and have a college degree in order to be eligible to apply for admission to the university’s various DBT-supported programs.
M.Tech
To meet the GAT-B 2024 eligibility requirements for M.Tech programs, candidates must have a B.Tech/BE degree in the relevant field from a participating university with an aggregate of at least 55% (SC, ST, and PwD) or 60% (General, EWS, and OBC).
M.Sc
In order to be admitted to M.Sc. programs, applicants must have graduated from a reputable university with a minimum of 60% (for general, EWS, and OBC categories) or 55% (for SC, ST, and PwD categories) in the relevant field.
M.VSc Animal Biotechnology
Candidates must hold a B.V.Sc. in order to meet the M.VSc Animal Biotechnology program’s GAT-B 2024 eligibility requirements. & A.H. degree or an equivalent degree from a reputable university with a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 6.60 on a ten point scale or 2.60 on a four point scale, or sixty percent marks under the traditional system. Candidates from the reserved categories (SC/ST) must receive 50% of the required marks and score 5.60 on a 10.00 scale, 2.20 on a 4.00 scale, or both.
